How Does Your Garden Grow?

Leah Poapst

1.  Our plant grows larger due to mitosis, photosynthesis and respiration. During mitosis plants rely on cell division to grow larger by adding new cells. Plants grow and receive food from the two processes of photosynthesis and respiration. Photosynthesis is the primary source of energy for plants, it uses energy from the sun and by consuming carbon dioxide it produces carbohydrates and releases oxygen. This process makes food in order for a plant to grow.

2.  The signal to the nucleus would probably make the plant absorb more sunlight to create these proteins.
